Andrea Driessen, Chief Amplifier

About us

Andrea Driessen, Chief Amplifier, is an internationally award-winning business owner who stages engaging, unconventional events with compelling thought leaders, fresh meeting formats and purposeful play. Her event participants return to work ready to perform at their very best.

As a 30-year event-industry veteran, Andrea helped organize TEDxSeattle for seven years, and is a TEDSummit and TEDActive attendee.

The author of the forthcoming book, The Non-Obvious Guide to Event Planning: For Kick-Ass Gatherings that Inspire People, she is also a regular contributor to the Meeting Professional Magazine and a longtime MPI member.

A Professional Convention Management Association "Best-in-Class" speaker, Andrea offers three interactive workshops: Radically engaged: Boosting meeting effectiveness with curation, content & choice, No More Mediocre: How to lead engaging, purposeful & productive team meetings, and From Bore to ROAR: How to design radically engaging events.

A member of the Int'l Assn. of Speakers Bureaus and on its Ethics Committee, Andrea was given their Pacesetters’ Award in recognition of her efforts to move the Association and the industry forward.

Believing that we're all entitled to feeling engaged in the world up until the end, Andrea is also a hospice volunteer in Seattle.

And when not putting an end to boring meetings, Andrea stays un-bored with visits to spas, happy hours, gyms, and other time zones. Eventually she would like to become a trapeze artist with Cirque du Soleil.
